SaneClick keeps your scripts, files, and automations on your Mac. I do not receive your script contents or files. The app may send privacy-preserving aggregate counts, such as whether it opened during a trial or with a license, whether a purchase button was clicked, whether a license was activated, app version, build, and update status.
SaneClick does not upload your files or script contents. Specifically:
SaneClick stores your scripts and settings locally on your Mac in the app's container. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it.
The Finder Sync Extension accesses file paths only when you right-click to show the context menu. These paths are passed to your scripts but are never stored or transmitted anywhere.
Scripts you create run locally on your Mac with your user permissions. SaneClick does not modify, monitor, or log script execution beyond showing you the output.
SaneClick checks for updates via Sparkle, the standard macOS update framework. Update checks are made to saneclick.com/appcast.xml over HTTPS. The app may also send privacy-preserving aggregate counts, such as trial or licensed launches, purchase flow, license activation, app version, build, and update status. These requests do not include your script contents or files.
When you enter a license key, the app sends it to Lemon Squeezy over HTTPS to validate it, and rechecks periodically afterward. The app keeps working offline for up to 30 days between checks. Only the key is sent for this purpose — never your files or script contents.
The saneclick.com website may use cookie-free aggregate traffic stats from Cloudflare, such as page views and referrers. Separately, the app may send privacy-preserving aggregate counts. Neither path includes your script contents, files, name, email, advertising identifiers, or data for sale to advertisers or data brokers. (License-key validation is described above and sends only the key.)
